♍️ Welcome Virgo Sun and Virgo New Moon! ☀️🌚
Virgos have a special place in my heart. The more I have gone into the charts of my family and friends, the more I realize how many of my nearest and dearest have Virgo placed prominently in their chart. I’ve started joking with some that I’m the “Virgo whisperer” because I find them around me everywhere. And even if you weren’t born between August 22 and September 22 when the Sun was in Virgo, it doesn’t mean that you don’t have strong Virgo energy somewhere in your chart. After all, your Sun sign is only a part of your story. Does any of this sound like you? * You feel pulled to serve others. * You like things clean and orderly in some area of your life. * You love getting into the details and the nitty-gritty, analyzing and making sense of things. * Are spreadsheets your best friend? What about To-Do lists? * Perhaps you’re fascinated by health fads, detoxes, cleanses, or supplements? * Are you hyper-critical of yourself in an area of your life? This is Virgo. Virgo wants to purify and bring everything back into alignment. That’s why details and analysis are so important. It’s an Earth sign, so that organization helps make things practical and applicable. But at its core, Virgo wants to serve others. There’s an innate drive there. If left unchecked, Virgo can focus too much on the work and forget to nurture and give adequate attention to other areas of life. And then, because Virgo wants things pure and perfect, it can judge itself very harshly for its perceived failings. It can be extremely judgmental and critical; most especially of itself. “I’m not doing enough” is on repeat inside the Virgo. As we step into this season of shedding the old and aligning with what's true, here's my call to action for you: Even if you’re not exactly sure where Virgo shows up in your life (we have all 12 Zodiac signs within us), take this next month to notice where in your life the negative thoughts are most dominant. Where do you judge yourself the harshest? When these thoughts come up: 1) Take a deep breath, feeling the air reach all the way down to your pelvis. As you exhale, really enjoy the sensation of breathing out. 2) Imagine that your best friend/partner/family member was saying this negative thought about themselves. This helps to turn on that sense of service that is so innate inside Virgo. 3) Flip the statement for your imaginary person so that the opposite is said. Example, “I’m not doing enough at work to be successful” to “You’re doing more than enough at work and you are already successful.” 4) Then, try this statement for yourself. “I’m doing more than enough at work and I’m already successful.” 5) Repeat it a few times, imagining the statement coming from your heart, until you find a small space of silence inside your body. This reprograms the mind and the nervous system to slowly accept a new conditioning. The Virgo New Moon on August 23rd beckons for a new beginning through the means of releasing the old and cleansing the system. Allow yourself to make a practice out of releasing these old thoughts and beliefs inside of you. We are all Divinely perfect by design. Virgo has trouble recognizing this. Allow this moment in time to be where you deepen your practice of letting go. Channel your inner Elsa. She was onto something. 😉 I wish you so much Love and Light.
